KARACHI: Gold moved up by Rs 45 to Rs 32,657 per 10 grams in local bullion market Friday, as its international price also increased to $ 1,173 an ounce, market sources said.
A leading bullion dealer said that tola (11.664 grams) price also improved by Rs 50 to Rs 38,100.
However, silver slipped to Rs 475.71 per 10 grams.
LONDON : The price of gold surged to an record high point above 1,258 dollars an ounce on Friday, on the back of the weaker US currency and lackluster US economic data, traders said.
In afternoon trading on the London Bullion Market, gold hit a record 1,258.38 dollars an ounce.
“This could open the door to further admiration towards the 1,300-dollar level in the coming weeks,” said Rajesh Patel, head trader at financial betting firm Spread Co.
